Welcome to The Conversation, a home for not only my podcast, but all the different areas of my creative life.

I started this Substack to give myself more space. To think, to read, to share, and to address topics that are just too nuanced for the word counts of social media.

About me:

I am what is now called a multi-hyphenate creative , in other words I do a few things. I am an interviewer, entrepreneur, photographer and advocate. I have had a lifelong creative career in the media, starting at age 15 in the UK, where I became a household name as the host of the live, late night music show The Word, and interviewed the biggest names in music for 5 years.

In 2017 I executive produced and hosted The Conversationa groundbreaking interview series and podcast featuring female thought-leaders and innovators, such as V.P. Kamala Harris, #MeTooFounder Tarana Burke,Hillary Clinton, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Zoe Saldana, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Silverman, Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga.  I am also the Founder of Girlgaze, a platform that connects a network of female-identifying and non-binary creatives with companies who want to hire diverse creative teams. I was named one of the “Most Creative People in Business in 2020’ by Fast Company.

I am the host of The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet, and author of It’s Messy: On Boys, Boobs and Bad Ass Women. Girlgaze - How Girls See the World and Rare Birds.

In June 2021 I became a founding member of the new Victoria’s Secret VS Collective alongside Naomi Osaka, Stella McCartney, Priyanka Chopra, Megan Rapinoe, Hailey Beiber, Bella Hadid, and others.
