Brittany Snow & Jaspre Guest Discuss 'The September Letters' and The Power of Stories.

A community built to support your mental health journey.

Dear Friends,

One of the reasons I started The Conversation was to connect women through shared experiences and anytime I see someone doing the same, especially in the world of mental health, I have them on the show.

Brittany Snow and Jaspre Guest are the co-founders and now co-authors of The September Letters, which began as a letter writing initiative to help end the stigma around mental health, and has evolved into a new book that is a resource for anyone needing to find support and connection.

These two are my kind of women and we talk about our favorite mental health tools such as hypnotherapy, metaphysics, and finding strength through acts of service. We also discuss the challenges and benefits of listening to your intuition and what the Enneagram tells you about someone's character.

I hope this conversation inspires you to read The September Letters book and reminds you that you are not alone!

Keep having meaningful conversations….

Love,

Amanda X

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  • Being able to recognize that you have a mental disorder is the first step. The second step is to talk to someone, whether a friend, family member or therapist.

  • Some individuals exploit their mental health struggles on social media, portraying them in a manner that undermines the authenticity of the issue they claim to address, ultimately doing a disservice to those genuinely affected by mental health challenges.

  • Being part of a community where others share your struggles can be therapeutic. When you serve others, you can set aside your own worries and uplift your fellow human beings.
